Tell us about your company and what you do.

We offer non-medical in-home care which makes it possible for less-mobile seniors, and anyone recovering at home after illness or injury, to safely enjoy the comfort of their own home. We can assist with basic daily living skills such as, bathing, feeding, light meal prep, transportation to medical appointments/errands and medication reminders to name a few.

‍How did you get started in your industry?

‍Sky Heart Home Care was created out of a deep love and passion of helping others. It was named after my 3-year-old daughter, Skylar. She spent 60 days in the hospital for complications from heart surgery that we were unprepared for. It was discussed that she would need home care services before she would be allowed to be discharged. I learned a great deal about home care and what it entails. Unfortunately, she passed away at the hospital.  After her passing and dealing with grief, a spark in me was lit to continue helping others no matter the age. It brings me joy to know that we can help others at home and give them the best care possible.

‍Where do you see your business in 5 years?

‍I see Sky Heart Home Care Services able to service all of NC and surrounding states.

‍Tell me about yourself.

‍I am a graduate of UNC Chapel Hill (B.A) and Pfeiffer University (2 Masters). I have worked in management in behavioral and mental health for over 10 years and project management for 6 years. I’ve been married for over 15 years and 2 boys – Micah & Nathan.

‍Other than work, what are you passionate about?

‍I enjoy taking care of people. I want to make sure they are getting everything they need.

‍What types of activities or hobbies do you enjoy outside of work?

‍I enjoy reading, traveling, puzzles, watching movies and plays, and photography. I’m a basketball mom of 2 boys.

‍Why did you choose Towerview Office Suites Towerview Court and how has working here helped your business?

‍I like the location and the cost. No one has a difficult time finding our new location. Our leasing manager, Jacklin is absolutely amazing and very easy to work with.
